The Last Day for Form 3's

School has finally ended for the Form 3's. Obviously we didn't end the year without bringing anything back home! haha Teacher gave us holiday homework as usual. Well, I didn't really spend my last day with my friends the whole day. Harshiah and I spent almost the whole day helping teacher. At least, I spent the last hour with my friends!

Although I didn't really enjoy throughout the year, mingling around with my classmates will always be the No. 1 thing to do. I'm going to be miss my beloved class TT Anyway, to all 3 Ayers : Hopefully, we will be classmates again next year!

Joanne and Hanani bought cake for our last class party. Both cakes were Tiramisu! But the round tiramisu cake was attacked by the communist (Joanne) haha

The last hour of the last day

Nicole, Harshiah, Syamine and Praveena

Our last picture together as a class

Before heading back home, I visited the Choong sisters in the library. Sad to say, throughout the whole year, I don't even have a photo of us. This photo here is THE FIRST ONE! lol

Choong sisters and me finally took a photo together

Wow, I can't believe I'm turning 16 next year! I feel so old now... I always wish that I can go back to the past but it will never happen! haha Nevermind, I'm looking forward to my holiday plans. So many things to do, so little time.

Tangram Freaks

Today, we played tangram! Nicole, Syaminee, Rishantinee and me formed a group. LOL Everyone was too excited to start so we unscrambled everything without looking at the arrangement of the shapes in the given square. The square was included and we totally forgotten about the arrangement we saw! haha

We were supposed to make the square first!!!!!

We only managed to create 11 shapes. LOL The square was one of them because Syaminee figured it out at last! At the eleventh hour, I managed to arranged the shapes into A FISH which was the scariest one for us. Hallelujah!!!! At last, we got 3rd placing which was quite shocking because I didn't expect us to win anything since we were short-handed after Nicole left for band. haha Praise the Lord!

Lawatan Landasan Bestari

The school trip with my friends today was awesome! LOL We went to many places especially museums. It has been a long time since I last visited a museum. hehe Totally not Malaysian man! First, we visited the TUDM Museum....
Me, Fatimah and Harshiah
Mei Hua, Joanne, Harshiah and I were in an OLD PLANE!

Mei Hua, Mei Wern, Harshiah and Joanne

We were actually standing next to a chopper / helicopter

Then, we went to gallery A & B. There were displays of vintage and current uniforms.

Mei Hua, Harshiah, Fatimah, Joanne and me.

Then, we went to Istana Negara. Luckily, we got the chance to watch how they switch the horses on that very hour.

Look at the horse....felt like touching it actually! hehe

Next, we went to the National Museum for the 1st time~ hehe It was the biggest among all museums.

National Museum

Mei Hua, Nadine, Mei Wern, Harshiah and Joanne

They had an exhibition about traditional games. We played the congkak!

I got bullied by Harshiah and Joanne TT

Our fourth destination was the National Monument. That was my 1st time too! LOL I passed by this place too often but never had a chance to visit it. hehe

Mei Hua, Mei Wern and Joanne

Yay, we were actually standing right below the National Monument! hehe

Harshiah, Joanne and me

I think our fifth destination was the Memorial Of Tun Abdul Razak. I thought it was going to be boring but it was actually interesting. That place was his house.... Very exclusive indeed especially the golden tap with diamonds and the elegant purple chairs in his living room! haha

The Memorial

We had our lunch before we headed to the Police Museum which was the most interesting one! Cameras were not allowed too... so I left it in the bus! But the exhibits about the communist, weaponry and vintage police uniforms caught my eyes.

After that, we stopped by Dataran Merdeka for fun! haha The weather was rather hot...

Dataran Merdeka

This picture seems funny. Look at Nadine with the Chipster... LOL

Our last destination was the Memorial Of Tunku Abdul Rahman. The memorial was bigger than Tunku Abdul Razak's! Too many displays about politics so I didn't really care much. We were supposed to read and take note about the exhibits because a quiz will be given at the end of the visit.

The registration counter

We went to his house too... SO MANY ROOMS MAN! haha

The fountain outside... Elaine, Nadine, Mei Wern, Mei Hua and Joanne

After our visit, a quiz was given and I managed to answer one question so I earned myself a goodie bag. Everyone was tired by the end of the day and we were dismissed around 4 pm. It was a great experience exploring historical places with my friends. If there's another one, I don't mind going! hehe

Kem Membaca '09 (Jejak Maklumat)

Today, Alini, Hanani and I represented our school for the Jejak Maklumat at Titiwangsa Lake, accompanied by Pn. Rosmaini. We thought it was going to be relaxing but it turned out differently... the activities included physical and mental challenges. MOSTLY PHYSICAL SINCE WE WERE WALKING AND RUNNING THE WHOLE TIME!

The briefing was on...

We started the hunt at the Astaka and were completing the 1st task which was a telematch. Then, we moved on to places around that place before running to the playground. After completing the tasks in the playground, we were supposed to head to the horses' stables but everything went wrong after that. The route to that particular place was really FAR!!!

This picture is nice... hehe We were finding our way to the horses' stables

We finally found the horses..

Hanani and Alini look so stress in this picture. Chill lah you girls!

Our next clue was hidden around the botanical garden which was opposite the horses' stables.

Then, we headed to the paddle boats... When we heard about that activity, we got excited so we quickly make our way there. BUT the distance from the stables to the jetty across the lake was further than before.

The distance was too far! I got bored so I took a very good shot of the Titiwangsa Lake. hehe

After miles of walking, we finally reached the jetty and we had to answer a few questions before we proceed to the next station.

Mostly History questions... So we were taking out all the facts from the core of our brains! haha

Then, we went boat paddling! I thought it was going to be fun until Alini handled the steer. We went in circles man! And paddling was not only tiring at that point, it was also frustrating since we couldn't move straight. Anyway, Hanani took over the steer and handled it well after that! hehe

When the hunt was about to end, our clue in the 2nd last station was taken by somebody. We spent too much time searching until five teams overtook us. The facilitators at that station pitied us so they asked us to answer the questions orally. The last task was to finish a portfolio and a poster of One Malaysia in less than an hour. Alini and Hanani wrote the long essays with bombastic words where as I drew the One Malaysia logo as the poster.

After the hunt, we spent about 10 minutes in the public toilet. Hanani and I were actually amazed by the cleanliness of the toilet and it was our first time entering a public toilet. LOL I didn't know that public toilets had nice flooring, air con, touch sensor sinks and flush. A very good experience indeed! hehe

Then, the prize giving ceremony was on. Although we didn't win any prizes but we brought home good memories to cherish besides a wonderful experience.

I know what RIMUP stands for! It means Rancangan Integrasi Murid Untuk Perpaduan... LOL This question came out but we didn't manage to answer it TT

100th Post

Yay, I finally reached my 100th post! Well, I'm typing while complaining because my whole body really aches. I had a tiring day which involves TOTAL RUNNING AND HIKING the whole day!

Yesterday, the Form 3's had a netball competition organized by Puan Nor Haida. I was the WD but took turns with Syaminee to play since we have an extra player (Played for 3 out of 5 matches). The 1st round was the most intense one because 3A was against 3P... I thought World War III was about to happen but anyway, we defeated them fair and square (1-0)! haha After all day playing, we made it until the final match against 3U and brought back victory (1-0)! Woohoo.... After all these years, WE FINALLY BECAME CHAMPIONS FOR THE NETBALL COMPETITION!!! Everyone was extremely happy and celebrated our victory after the match.

Today was another exhausting day... Alini, Hanani and me represented the school for Kem Membaca '09 (Jejak Maklumat) at Titiwangsa Lake. It was like a treasure hunt which emphasized on the One Malaysia concept. We walked and ran throughout the whole event because we were supposed to find clues which were scattered in their respective places. Oh well, I will explain more in the next post! hehe

Herbal Garden

Today, we had an interesting activity which involves plants! At first, we had a treasure hunt.. I think it was a herbs hunt. haha

One of the plants we found mostly around the school

We were unable to find the kantan! haha I don't even know what was it?! lol Best part was after recess where we were supposed to plant herbs or crops. Harshiah, Fazlina, Mei Hua, Syaminee and me were in a group. We named our group the Bringenious (I'm not sure how to spell it) because we plant aubergine seeds LOL Our pot was actually the most unique one! (Perasan) So lets wait for them to grow into.....

Annual Deeparaya

Today was our last deeparaya together as a big family. I will never forget the bitter sweet moments we had since 2007. 1A, 2A and now, 3A.. time flies man! Our beloved class teachers, Puan Nur Diana (2007 & 2008) and Puan Nurasyikin (2009). I can still remember every year our class had the most food on the table.

Our food this year.. Yummy!
Deeparaya Class 3A 2009
An emo shot of Harshiah's Jelly cake which costs Rm75
My favourite shot... (Syaminee, Harshiah, Hanani and Me) One Malaysia concept :D
Oh ya, its a school tradition to invite St John boys to take part in our deeparaya activity. They called it the 'RIMUP' program. We were supposed to make a lantern, weave ketupats and do a kolam. Six people in a group (3 from CBN and 3 from St John) The 'best' news of the day was we only had less than one hour to complete the task.

The boys and Hanani were figuring out on how to weave the ketupats. (It was difficult!) where as Harshiah and me focused on the kolam.
Tada, our final product! Please do not ask about the lantern. ( It was a disaster) We did not have time to make the lantern at all. haha

The guys in our group were very cooperative. Thanks ya...

Overall, the event was a blast! Everyone had fun and all 3A members helped out a lot when we had trouble making the ketupats. At least, they made one perfect ketupat for us. hehe Thanks a lot ya... Not forgetting, special thanks to Rishantinee for colouring the rice, Hannah and Amaani for the superb sketch, Nadine for calling your dad to come all the way just to send the ang paus and wire.
Then, the price giving ceremony was held at the end of the day.
The second runner-up went to 3B
The first runner-up went to 3K
The champion was class 3N
Congratulations to all of you! I want to share your joy... hehe
HERE COMES THE SAD NEWS....
Today was also Fiona's last day in school TT She's migrating to New Zealand already. After all these years of knowing you since primary school (5 years) , I'm SO SO SO GONNA MISS YOU!!! I wish you all the best of luck finishing your high school years there. Take care ya and don't forget all your friends here in CBN.

The Results

We got our Science paper today! I was really happy for my protege, Filza. She improved tremendously! (From a D to B) OMG, I was jumping! But when I saw my own marks.....So sad, it went down by 6 marks, almost the border line of A. TT

I seriously wonder how can the mentor dropped when the protege improved?! (The effects from studying last minute!) TT

Since I was happy for her, I bought her a gift for great improvement! My next goal is to help her to get an A for Science!

Only cost RM10 from CM. So nice!!! You can see the word To: FILZA there.. hehe

We gave her words of encouragement and a chosen poem. Look at the yellow words, LOVE, MEI WERN and JOANNE. (Perasan!)
We also bought for Harshiah's behalf. Her protege, Syakira also improved 10 marks for Science! She was really happy and, Harshiah wanted to buy for her something too so Joanne and I went for the plate instead!

We really wanna thank that man who designed and decorated these gifts! So cunted wei..... They are gonna love it! haha

Shocking Experiment

Today, we carried out the most exciting experiment so far in our secondary life! We heated certain minerals which were iron oxide, lead sulphide and magnesium carbonate if I'm not mistaken.

Hehe...so fun!!!! The best one was heating the lead sulphide with potassium manganate (VII) solution. We were supposed to decolourise the solution from dark purple to transparent. LOL So fun but MY GROUP TAK JADI BECAUSE OUR FLAME WASN'T THAT HOT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NON-LUMINOUS!!!!! TT

But we saw other group's experiment which worked perfectly! So interesting to see... hehe

But I pity one group because got scolded by our Science teacher for not following proper precautions when carrying out the experiment. The shocking incident was, THE TEST TUBE BROKE ALL OF A SUDDEN AFTER TEACHER TOOK THE TEST TUBE FROM THEM!

My eyes was like SO BIG when I saw that....lol

Recycling Paper

Today, we were desperate for badges again! hehe Just for the most beautiful badge among the 75 other badges. But it ended up quite fun carrying out the activity.

Me, Shereen and Mei Hua.
Everyone making their own paper
A very interesting activity.
We were too excited making them till we did too many!LOL
